The PS ESD tray is a deep-draw black tray that seats parts in fitted cavities for static-safe handling and line turnover. Because it is an anti-static PS tray with the property compounded through the HIPS sheet, it stays protective through many loops. The rigid HIPS turnover tray stacks and returns, making it a durable electronic packaging tray for repeat use.

Why PS for turnover
PS suits returnable loops because the anti-static agent is compounded into the sheet, so it does not wash off or fade the way a surface coating does. A conductive PS tray can also be carbon-loaded for a permanent low-resistance grade. The rigid, deep-draw walls take repeated stacking and handling between stations without collapsing.
ESD level and proof
The tray is quoted by the surface-resistance band your ESD program requires: anti-static at 10^9 to 10^11 ohm, dissipative at 10^6 to 10^9, or conductive at 10^3 to 10^5. Color is not proof, so we supply the tray to a measured band and can provide a resistance report per lot. Spec the level from your control plan, not from the black color.
Cavities and stacking
Each cavity is thermoformed to one part, so components sit square with no rattle or abrasion during transport and pick-and-place. Deep draws and reinforced side walls let the tray stack loaded and de-nest empty for line-side feeding. Send a sample or drawing and the sample room forms the cavities and pitch to your part.
Applications
Use the electronic packaging tray for PCBs and assemblies, connectors, motors and modules, hardware, and automotive or appliance parts on a returnable line. The compounded anti-static body drains charge over the life of the tray, the deep cavities hold heavier parts, and the stackable format moves through storage and assembly cleanly.
Get a quote
Send your part, a sample or drawing, the ESD resistance target, and whether the loop is one-way or returnable, and we will form a dieline and quote the tray with a sample for your approval. ISO 9001 and 14001 systems and clean-room thermoforming keep the parts consistent lot to lot.
FAQ
PS or PET for an ESD tray, which should I choose? Choose PS for returnable turnover, since the anti-static agent is compounded through the sheet and lasts. PET is thinner and clearer and suits one-way trays or where you need to see the part. Tell us the loop and the part and we quote the right sheet.
Does the anti-static effect wear off? Compounded PS keeps its property far longer than a surface coating, which is why it fits returnable loops. Conductive carbon grades are permanent. We state the make-up and band on the quote and can report resistance per lot so you can verify it in service.
Can you make deep cavities for heavier parts? Yes. PS deep-draws well and the reinforced walls hold heavier components and stack under load. Send the part weight and dimensions and we set the gauge and cavity depth to carry it without bottoming out.
What is a realistic order quantity? There is no strict minimum, but the forming tool and sheet setup spread over the run, so small batches cost more per piece and price drops sharply with volume. Tell us your annual volume and we advise the break points.
