The pack is a fold-over clamshell: one sheet forms both halves and folds along a hinge, so the product loads in one step and the front snaps into the back tab. No heat or glue is needed, which keeps tooling simple and lets the pack reseal for returns. The built-in hang hole fits standard peg hooks.
The standard sheet is crystal-clear APET at 0.5 mm, a heavy gauge that stays rigid and reads premium on shelf. APET is recyclable and it prints and debosses cleanly. For heat or hot assembly choose PP or PC instead, since APET softens. rPET is available when a recycled-content story matters.
Branding runs two ways on this retail clamshell packaging. The tooling debosses a logo into the lid, as shown, and a printed insert card slides behind the product to carry color, barcode, and copy. The card prints to your artwork, so graphics stay fully custom per order while the clamshell tooling stays the same.

The clear APET shows the product from every side, the 0.5 mm wall protects it in transit and on the peg, and the hang hole suits pegboard, slatwall, and clip-strip display.

Can you match an existing clamshell or card size? Yes. Send a sample pack or a drawing with the outer dimensions, cavity depth, and hang-hole position, and the sample room builds a dieline to match. You get a clear sample to check fit and closure before any production tooling is cut.
What is a realistic order quantity? There is no strict minimum, but thermoforming tooling and sheet setup spread over the run, so small batches cost more per piece and price drops sharply with volume. Export runs usually start around a few thousand pieces. Tell us your annual volume and we advise the break points.
Can the clamshell be heat-sealed or welded to the card? Plain APET does not heat-seal or high-frequency weld well. If your line seals or welds the pack to a card, we quote a weldable grade such as PETG or GAG instead, which costs a little more per sheet but gives clean, consistent seals. Fold-over packs with a snap tab need no sealing.
PET or PVC, which should I choose? APET is the default: strong, glass-clear, and recyclable, and it is the standard for North American and European retail. PVC is cheaper and seals easily but faces growing retail restrictions and has no recycling story. We recommend APET or rPET unless a specific line requires PVC.
